The longest I've flown was from John F Kennedy international airport New York city to Taoyuan airport. It took me 16 hours+ . Checking in ,going through customs and waiting plane were not in included. During the so long time I tried many activities,pastimes to kill time. 12565 km is an excellent distance to think something objectively , especially you caught a chance to gossip with a foreign stranger next to your seat.
When I boarded the EVA AIR airplane to Taipei, I found my seat was 70A , a window seat good for watching scenery. Unfortunately there's no scenery while flying from east coast of US to Taipei. Because plane began flying at 1:00 a.m. EST , I couldn't see any sun light or polar light.
On the way to the restroom I found the plane was unbelievably full .Before plane took off, I was sure no one was dragged off from his seat.
