[2017-12-06 Darren] The longest talk to build a joint government after WWII in Germany
Q1 Could you try to depict the chracteristics that Merkel has, the problem she confronts?
Q2 If you were a German, do you think the political asylum of refugees is an act of cahrity or a burden to your life?
Q3 Germany become the 2nd largest immigrant destination on the planet, in addition to the policy, could you attempt to propose some reasons?
Germany, leading the economy of EU, formation of new government seems to be hard now. The goverment leader Chancellor Merkel probably get the 4th term of governing, according to the right-wing party she owns (CDU/CSU) won the majority in the parliament (33%) this September. However, the percentage decrease 8.5% compare to the election in 2013. The second largest left-wing party (SPD) refused instantly to build a coalition goverment with Merkel (CDU/CSU) after the election result. After a long discussion with 2 minority parties (FDP and the Green), which had been the coalition government in 2009-2013, is famous of the name "Jamaica Coalition" (CDU/CSU=black, FDP=yellow, Green=green). To most people's surprise, FDP refused to join the coalition government after 4 weeks talk, the leader of FDP said "Do not administer rather than administer incorrectly". Merkel has to find another partners to build up goverment before 17th, Dec. Otherwise, the re-election of parliament is around the corner, and Merkel will lose her absolute advantage. The largest party against Merkel, as known as SPD, refused to "talk" after the failure of "Jamaica Coalition" according to the latest news.
Merkel, the first female Chancellor in Germany, will become the longest goverment leader in Germany after WWII if she gets the throne on 17th, Dec. However, the refugee policy annoys lots of people in Germany, makes the parties against Merkel emerged quickly.

[2017-11-29 Audrey] The psychology behind the subtle pressure to work when sick
Should you take a sick day or tough it out? The answer isn’t always clear.
If you thought a ‘wickie’ was something to do with cricket or a famous website, you’re probably one of the many people who trudge into work when you’re feeling sick.
Otherwise known as presenteeism, pulling a wickie might not win you favour at the office. Recent research suggests that if you work while sick you will perform more poorly, you’re more likely to make errors and you’ll be less vigilant. Oh, and you’ll probably annoy your colleagues with that hacking cough and constant nose-blowing.
At the other end of the spectrum, there are those annoying colleagues who take a ‘sickie’, complaining even though they’re not all that unwell.
Most of us fit somewhere in between the two. But when there’s peer pressure — like the praise heaped on a colleague who shows up, despite having some version of what seems like the plague, or a boss who subtly makes it clear that taking a sick day is frowned upon — along with concern about job security and pay, deciding when you’re sick enough to stay home isn’t as easy as it should be.

[2017-11-22 Connie]'Teen Mom' Has Had a Dramatic Effect on Teenage Pregnancy — Find out How the Reality Show Has Impacted the Stats
Since the "birth" of MTV's Teen Mom — a spinoff of 16 and Pregnant — parents and curious fans alike have wondered whether or not the franchise has actually helped lower the teen pregnancy rate or if it's had the opposite effect. The series has often received backlash for glamorizing a nationwide issue, but contrary to popular belief, the show has indeed had a positive impact on America's youth.
According to a study conducted by the National Bureau of Economic Research, 16 and Pregnant led to a 5.7 percent reduction in teen births in the 18 months after its premiere. This accounted for about one-third of the overall decline in teen births in the United States during that time, researchers Melissa Kearney and Phillip Levine concluded.NEW Teen Mom Kids Then And Now IT
